Top Ten Reasons I Hate Top Ten Lists:

10. There's always some retarded picture with a snarky comment

http://blogs.amctv.com/scifi-scanner/back-to-future-doc-brown.jpg
Hope his fly isn't down, hahaha, get it. Fly? Marty McFly!? HAHAHA

9. They're lists, and are therefore naturally boring

Lists evolved from the scum pits of language, a list cannot stand out on its own as being interesting, a list does not leave room for in-depth examination of its contents. I would be fucking thrilled if I was proven otherwise.

8. I am so tired of lists

7. Lists are not well sourced

Well, sometimes they are; Cracked generally has sources, and I admire that, but because the sole purpose of the site is to produce lists, they are still my mortal enemy. Lots of other people make top ten lists that aren't sourced, those people should be denied access to the internet.

6. Holy shit look at these recycled images and thoughts I've stolen from somewhere else

Lists aren't original, by their very definition they summarize points made somewhere else.

5. I can't really think of more stuff to put

2. Final Fantasy VII

1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Top ten lists that reflect a consensus view are fine. Personal opinion not so much.

Like:

TOP TEN OF THE GREATEST GAMES ON THE SNES

or

TOP TEN OF THE MOST SOLD GAMES IN HISTORY

or

TOP TEN TOP TEN LISTS VERTICALLY ARRANGED BY POPULARITY

I hate them all. I'd find it more interesting if someone wrote an editorial about why they believe Pokemon (Not verified at all) is the greatest selling video-game franchise.

Cracked actually has some pretty decent articles, but they tend to get buried under "THE TOP TEN THINGS IN THE TOP TEN LISTS YOU'VE SEEN ON THE TOP TEN OTHER TOP TEN SITES."

Plus, Seanbaby.

It's half a reference to Eegra, but mostly a reference to the Gamefaqs greatest games competition.

Your picture doesn't show up by the way.

Fuck that noise; I'm not hosting every incidental image.

Captain Awful

I can't even link to it directly, I feel like a blind man who'll never see the sun!

Edit: Oh, it's a picture of the Dig Dug box art.

Edit edit: Oh, it's a joke about the title.

Post: A really obvious joke.

3. That one Neen made.

2. A picture of Captain Awful turning his nose up at an episode of Doug.

1. A picture of Captain Awful refusing to rob the grave of Douglas Adams.

There was this really neat image hosting site I can't remember the name of, but it let you put an image link in it and then it would grab the image and copy it to its own servers, then give you a link for you to use in like one or two button presses.

2. I would never turn my nose at an episode of Doug. It was like, he knew what racial diversity really meant, you know?

1. I would refuse to rob the grave of Douglas Adams. I just read The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, which was excellent. I love Douglas Adams... I'd fornicate his corpse if it wasn't a social faux pax

I love ScrewAttack because it gives me my top ten lists in video, thus bypassing the middleman that is reading.

This is starting to become a trend (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/8+Bit+Pwny+Club+ep.1/).

If we're not careful there's going to be a list of the best ironic list articles.

I like it too. Just sayin' is all. You should've seen that post while I was writing it. I had this long, mean-spirited, meta-irony-laden list-article that was basically an excuse for me to post that one link. I erased all of it when I realized that's what I was doing.

some guys from some site decided to spice up gamespot's latest list (http://au.gamespot.com/greatest-video-game-hero/blog/index.html) (which at the beginning pits characters from games out of the public eye against super popular franchises) by kicking Master Chief (http://au.gamespot.com/greatest-video-game-hero/vote/index.html?battle_id=17) out in the first round.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZjTONowVWI

the reactions have been (http://au.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=27031194&tag=topics;title) somewhat amusing (http://au.gamespot.com/greatest-video-game-hero/blog/index.html?topic_id=27022290&tag=blog;more;3), it must be hard adjusting to a poll where the same thing isn't winning constantly. Marcus Fenix also lost out to Duke, and it is looking like Cloud is going to lose to Little Mac.

Some people shouldn't be allowed access to a microphone.
Or the internet.
Or oxygen.

Heh, my distaste for this fellow is so wittily conveyed.

Oh, this is what Halo frat boy jocks sound like. I'm not gonna lie, I've never actually encountered this phenomenon before. I always wondered what everyone else was talking about. All the Halo fans I've known have been a lot nicer than that.

It's too bad he didn't discover how awesome two player Bubble Bobble is.
