These kind of articles baffle me. Almost every girl I know plays video games. :/

Also the assumption that IGN-readers have girlfriends lol.

Lol, that article left me speechless. But the writer was someone with a female name.. all the more baffling. I don't see why I should encourage my girlfriend to play a crappy game, which she probably wouldn't like either. So much more fun to just watch a movie with her.

i'm not in a relationship, nor have i ever. but i assume one would not want to be forced into doing some mundane shit you might enjoy, eg shopping or gaming or jumping off a cliff.

i mean, yeah, obviously there will be times where it'll be like "dude let's play some games" or "let's go shopping" but i wouldn't want to be dragged off to whatever my mate might enjoy

tl;dr play games if your guy/galfriend wants to.
